Our Work
SERVE is an organization that coordinates volunteer opportunities for Bradley University students to build relationships within the community while providing service to meet the community’s needs.
SERVE strives to develop servant leadership and creates a sense of civic responsibility in Bradley students by providing opportunities for leadership through community service to all students.
SERVE Initiatives:
- Plan and facilitate all Service on Saturday events.
- Help students find volunteer placements in the Peoria area community
- Recruit student volunteers for local non-profit agencies and service projects
- Coordinate service projects for Bradley students
Ways to Volunteer
We coordinate approximately ten different volunteer opportunities one Saturday each month. Students sign up to attend SoS and get to select the volunteer project they want to participate in. We provide transportation, and all SoS volunteers get free breakfast and lunch. Check-in takes place in the Markin Performance Court beginning at 9:30am.
Service on Saturday is coordinated by SERVE, an organization that coordinates volunteer opportunities for Bradley students, so students are selecting the volunteer projects for other students.
Students will arrive at the site around 10:00am and volunteer until about 12:00pm. Students must be available from 9:30am until 1:00pm in order to accommodate transportation time and the free pizza lunch afterward.
To learn more about Service on Saturday or to sign up for an upcoming SoS, send us an e-mail at BradleySERVE@gmail.com.
