Volunteer: July 10th Event Helping Youth Learn Budgeting!Upcoming on Friday, July 10th, Goodwill is hosting its 12th Annual Reality Check event for local youth. Reality Check is a community-wide event for youth ages 10-18 that provides basic budgeting education by providing them with an interactive simulation of a month in the life of an adult. Through the use of booths and interactive materials, we simulate things such as college, a car dealership, a housing lender, utility providers, a grocery store, child care center, and more! To make this year's event another great success, we will need the help of community volunteers to run our fun and interactive booths! Youth will be coming through the event from 10am-3pm, so we are looking for volunteers that could assist us from 9:30am-3:30pm. We would love to have you join us all day, but we can also accommodate shifts of morning (9:30-12:30) or afternoon (12:30-3:30). If you are interested in being a part of a fun and interactive workshop helping youth in the community, please reach out to Juliet Santos at juliet.santos@goodwillpeoria.org.
