The Salvation Army has 2 LARGE Christmas Trees on display each year for our Annual Tree of Lights Campaign. At the end of the Campaign, we take down the trees and pack them away for storage. We are currently looking for 4-5 volunteers to help with this project. All the details are below:
- Volunteers needed when? Next Wednesday (February 8th), Thursday (February 9th) and POSSIBLY Friday (February 10th).
The shift times are estimated. Volunteers are needed to start at 8 a.m. Activity may be done sooner, depending on number of volunteers signed up to help with activity. The Salvation Army staff member overseeing this volunteer activity will communicate with each volunteer to let them know if volunteers are still needed for the following date.

Volunteers needed where? Outdoors at our tree locations at Northwoods Mall and Shoppes at Grand Prairie Mall in Peoria, IL.

Volunteers needed for what? Helping to take ground-level branches off the tree frame (all other branches above ground level will be taken off by Salvation Army staff members), "folding-up" the branches, packing them into plastic storage totes and moving the storage totes onto a trailer.
The tree at the Northwoods Mall location will be taken down first. Once that tree is taken down, the Shoppes at Grand Prairie Mall location will be next.
Please note: This is an outdoor activity. Dress accordingly. In case of inclement weather, this activity will be re-scheduled for a later date. Volunteers will be notified ASAP.
