The South Side Office of Concern, the City of Peoria, and the Illinois Housing Development Authority have begun a community revitalization planning process in Peoria’s North Valley neighborhood. The first step of this process is a comprehensive community engagement effort.
Local volunteers are needed to canvas the entire North Valley neighborhood - to knock on doors and survey residents about their perception of neighborhood conditions, resources, strengths and weaknesses. This valuable neighborhood input will give direction to the overall planning effort and result in a revitalization action plan for the area.
