"People become happier over time after they start volunteering, Washington Post"
The Heart of Illinois United Way is looking for a few volunteers to help us with our Women United Happier Hour event on Thursday, May 4!
- Volunteers need to arrive at 4:30 pm and will be done no later than 7:00 pm.
- Duties include helping greet guests as needed and facilitating one of three volunteer kit-making stations on premises. This includes helping guests stuff kits, refilling supplies at each station, boxing/packing completed kits, and providing door prize tickets to guests for each kit they assemble.
- Volunteers can enjoy our appetizer buffet and their choice of a Women United t-shirt or lapel pin.

About the event: our Women United Happier Hour is a fun and relaxed evening for guests to connect and volunteer! We will have an appetizer buffet and cash bar, raffle, a volunteer fair for local agencies, and fun onsite volunteer opportunities ... because research shows volunteering makes you happier!
