Midwest Food Bank of Peoria is looking for a person or a small group of volunteers that would enjoy preparing and hosting a meal for our Distribution Volunteers.
- Every month, the 300+ food pantries/food partners re-stock their shelves by picking up thousands of cases of food throughout the week of our "Peoria Loadout/Distribution".
- We have around 20 volunteers that help us load and distribute these items on Mondays of our load-out week.
- Because these volunteers are here working throughout the lunch hour, we need to provide a meal to keep them fueled as they work all day.
The Lunch Hosts would prepare a light lunch menu of their choosing to serve and then clean up over the lunch hour.
- Lunch needs to be ready to serve at 11:30 am and volunteers will serve and clean-up over a 2.5 hour time frame on load-out day.
- Your lunch needs to be prepped beforehand or you may use the Midwest Food Bank onsite warming kitchen and dining area.
