The Heart of Illinois United Way needs help sprucing up the grounds of our Georgian Revival Home on historic High Street in Peoria. Landscaping needs include:
- Removing weeds and debris in planters, yard, around steps, parking lot edges, and flower beds.
- Trim hedges
- Add mulch to planting areas
- Volunteers are highly recommended wear closed-toe shoes. United Way will provide gloves and gardening tools.

The Heart of Illinois United Way brings together business, labor, government, and health and human care sectors to tackle complex community issues related to education, income and health. Each year, thousands of individuals volunteer in some capacity for the Heart of Illinois United Way. These volunteers help with workplace campaigns, volunteer for GENeration United or Youth United, put teams together for Day of Caring, serve on grant review panels, help with labor and special events or oversee committees such as finance and marketing.
