Whitney’s Walk for Life is an annual 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention.
The event takes place at Jubilee State Park (Quail Meadows) on Saturday, July 31st. Volunteers are needed to help set up before the event (6:00AM arrival) and tear down afterwards (approximately 9:30AM end time).
Volunteer roles include but are not limited to:
- set-up and tear-down
- hand out tee-shirts
- direct traffic
- help people register for the event
- hand out water to runners
- managing the coffee/donut station
- Other duties as assigned
With it being an outdoor event, please prepare accordingly (consider bug spray/sun tan lotion/hat, etc.). Check out our event website for more information about the event itself.
