Description

For 36 years, The Salvation Army has helped to sponsor the Annual Coats for Kids program to ensure that every child in our community has a coat during the winter season. Generous community members, business, clubs and organizations donate gently used and new coats for this program. All donated coats need to be sorted prior to distribution, which is where volunteers are needed.

  • 10 volunteers are needed to help sort donated coats by size and gender prior to coat distribution.
  • This volunteer activity takes place indoors at The Salvation Army's Corps Community Center on Nebraska Ave. in Peoria.
  • Coat Sorting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will continue until all coats are sorted.
  • COVID-19 guidelines are in place at our facility to ensure the safety of all volunteers. (Volunteers are required to complete a COVID-19 Volunteer Screening Tool form prior to entering our facility. This form is attached for your review).
  • Please note: Volunteers are required to wear masks for this volunteer activity.
