Are you a professional at Christmas tree branch "fluffing"? Do you love setting up your Christmas tree during the Holiday season? If so, this volunteer activity is for you!
Christmas Season is nearly underway at The Salvation Army in Peoria! Each Christmas Season, our Tree of Lights Christmas Tree goes up to symbolize the Holiday Season and the kick-off of our Annual Tree of Lights Campaign.
Volunteers are needed to assist our maintenance crew with setting up our new trees, which will be located at Northwoods Mall and Grand Prairie Mall in Peoria. Here is additional information about the volunteer activity:
- Volunteers will be helping to "spruce"/"fluff" the limbs of the Christmas tree.'

Christmas Tree of Lights Set-Up will take place at Northwoods Mall and Grand Prairie Mall. The schedule is listed below:
- October 31st 8 am - 12 pm: Volunteers needed at Northwoods Mall location.
- October 31st 12 pm - 4 pm" Volunteers needed at Northwoods Mall location.
- November 8th 8 am - 12 pm: Volunteers needed at The Shoppes at Grand Prairie location.
- November 8th 12 pm - 4 pm: Volunteers needed at The Shoppes at Grand Prairie location.
Please know that the schedule may be subject to change depending on the progress made each day. Volunteers will be made aware of any schedule changes ASAP.
This is an outdoor activity, so please dress accordingly. We recommend you wear/bring gloves for this activity. Also, we recommend you bring a lawn chair.
