Event Information:
CI Friends will be providing education and free STI testing at various local Walgreens for National HIV Testing Day!
Did you know?
- Approximately 1.2 million people in the U.S. have HIV. About 13 percent of them don’t know it and need testing.
- HIV continues to have a disproportionate impact on certain populations, particularly racial and ethnic minorities and gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men.
As a table Rep, you have the responsibility of providing sexual health education to our community and promoting the free programs and services of Central Illinois Friends.
We are looking for outgoing and welcoming folks who like to chat about sexual health, HIV prevention, and the importance of getting tested. Volunteers will get the chance to talk with community members from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages.
Prior health education/sexual health education experience is not required but is preferred for this opportunity. Volunteers will be trained prior to any events that require a higher level of content knowledge and will be paired with a staff member or experienced volunteer at all events.
