South Side Mission Summer Kick-off Walkathon!
South Side Mission is hosting our 2024 Walkathon as a summer kick off and fundraiser for our Youth Department’s Summer Day Camp! We need volunteer to help with food, games, and walk-participants!
We will have the Walk beginning and ending at our main campus office with stops highlighting areas in our community that have importance to our ministry. We will also have a cookout and games for our neighbors and friends.

The Walkathon starts at 9:30. Cost is $30/participant with proceeds going to our Youth Department.
Lunch is served at 11:00. Suggested donation of $5, Walkathon participants eat free!
Volunteer opportunities:
- Route stations: bring a couple friends and help to direct our participants along the correct route! Pass out water and snacks as needed. Point the participants in the right direction and cheer them on. Then come back and join us for lunch in the Mission parking lot!
- Registration table: Check in participants and distribute walk-packets.
- Food: Help to prepare and serve lunch.
- Games: Have a great time with kids and grownups alike as you keep an eye on the games! Help enforce the rules for the trampolines and keep track of the basketball, bags, and more.

About Summer Day Camp:
Each summer, Monday through Friday, South Side Mission operates a Day Camp for school-age children. Participants enjoy swimming, crafts, outings, lunch, Bible studies, and a whole lot of fun! The Day Camp program runs for eight weeks during the summer and provides a great experience for every child it serves.
